A native of Augusta, Georgia, Charles Johnson is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of EDTS, LLC and EDTS Cyber, LLC . Founded in 1999, EDTS serves clients from five offices – located in South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina. The 85+ person company has been immersed in cyber security and protection of private industry and government entities since inception. The company has been named on Inc. Magazine’s list of America’s 5000 Fastest – Growing Private Companies for eight consecutive years and ranked as one of the fastest growing companies in South Carolina for the last five years. Charles has more than 25 years of experience in the technology industry specializing in network security and disaster recovery. He has been featured in
Business Solutions magazine, GSA Business, Upstate Business Journal and Augusta Chronicle as a leading network security advisor.
An entrepreneur at heart, Charles is active in the Augusta Cyberworks Project and revitalization of Sibley Mill in downtown Augusta and enjoys moving EDTS forward by identifying acquisition and growth opportunities. He was named 2014 Entrepreneur of the Year by the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce. Charles holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Georgia Southern University

Charles is the Chairman of the Augusta Metro / Columbia County Chamber – Cyber and Technology Committee and is a member of the FBI’s InfraGard Network. He serves on the advisory board for numerous security and technology vendors, also many local charities and civic organizations.
